Weather looks to be quiet for some, damp for others

For many Americans, Thanksgiving means turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie enjoyed with family and friends.

If you’re traveling for the holiday, you’re among the 53.4 million Americans AAA estimates will be heading over the hill and through the woods this year.

Mayflower, Louisiana

Rain is likely on Thanksgiving with temperatures in the upper-60s.

Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania

Thanksgiving looks mostly cloudy with the showers later in the day. Expect high temperatures in the mid-40s.

Pilgrim Lake, Nevada

Expect mostly sunny skies and chilly weather on Thanksgiving. The day will start in the teens and only climb into the lower 40s by the afternoon. Winds will be out of the south between 5 and 10 mph.

Corn, Oklahoma

Things look cold for Thanksgiving. Look for partly cloudy skies and high temperatures around 50 degrees. Strong winds will make it feel even colder.

Spuds, Florida

Look for partly cloudy skies on Thanksgiving and temperatures around 70 degrees by the afternoon. Winds will be light.

Turkey, Texas

You’ll see partly cloudy skies on Thanksgiving with cooler weather. High temperatures will be around 55 degrees with winds around 15 mph.

Roll, Arizona

It's shaping up to be a great Thanksgiving. Look for sunny skies and temperatures near 80 degrees. Winds will from the north around 13 mph.

Pumpkintown, South Carolina

Another spectacular place to be for Thanksgiving, weather-wise. Expect partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid to upper-60s. Southwest winds will be light.

Pie, West Virginia

Expect mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers on Thanksgiving. Temperatures will climb into the mid-50s. Winds will be light.

Pecan, Mississippi

There’s a chance of showers later in the day on Thanksgiving. Otherwise, the skies will be partly cloudy. Temperatures will climb into the low 70s before dropping into the mid-30s by Friday morning.

Apple, Ohio

Some rain is expected on Thanksgiving with cloudy conditions. Temperatures will climb into the mid-40s. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.
