SPRINGDALE, Ark. – At least seven people have been injured after severe weather, including a possible tornado, moved through the community of Springdale, Arkansas, early Wednesday morning.

Springdale police Lt. Jeff Taylor confirmed to FOX Weather that of those seven people who were injured, two were in critical condition.

A tornado warning had been issued for the Springdale area just after 4 a.m. Central as the severe storm approached the area.

The National Weather Service in Tulsa, Oklahoma, said they have received multiple reports of damage across the region and crews will be sent out to investigate the damage.

An outbreak of severe weather is pounding parts of the storm-ravaged South, where widespread winds of over 75 mph and several tornadoes are expected Wednesday into Wednesday night.
