Powerful storm to blast Northeast with severe weather, usher in season’s coldest temperatures

A powerful fall storm will race through the Great Lakes Thursday, bringing rain and severe storms before washing out Friday outdoor plans across the Northeast. A Level 2 out of 5 risk of severe thunderstorms is now in place across parts of eastern Pennsylvania, northern Maryland and northern New Jersey. The storm will lash the coast with gusty winds and weekend morning low temperatures will plummet in to the 30s across New England behind the system.
