Powerful storm to blast the Northeast with rain, wind followed by season's coldest temperatures
A powerful storm system will move through the Great Lakes Thursday before soaking the Northeast with a Friday washout. Behind the wind and rain, the coldest temperatures will spread across parts of the Northeast. Weekend lows could drop into the upper 20s and lower 30s across northern New England and the interior Northeast. Higher elevations in the Adirondacks, Green Mountains and White Mountains could even see their first snow of the season.
