A fisherman and a female grizzly bear shared a river in Alaska last week, as the large animal carelessly dunks her head while searching for salmon.
SOLDOTNA, Alaska – Spending time outdoors in the great state of Alaska can bring a plethora of new adventures to seek, but one fisherman had the experience of a lifetime while on the water.
A fisherman in Soldotna, Alaska, captured the moment a grizzly bear carelessly swam by his boat, showing off its fishing skills.

The fisherman, Carter Brown, filmed himself just feet away from the large female bear, as she repeatedly dunks her head underwater, searching for fish to eat, while another does the same in the background.

"I decided to take a selfie video of her as she foraged," Brown told Storyful News. "She finds a piece of salmon while foraging and eats it right next to my head!"

Experts from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service suggest never running away during a bear encounter.
If a bear remains stationary, move away slowly and to the side.

According to the National Park Service, female grizzly bears can weigh around 200 to 400 pounds, while males can weigh anywhere between 200 and 700 pounds, with a life span of 15 to 30 years.

Despite their weight, these creatures are agile, climb trees and run as fast as 40 mph.
Thankfully, the furry predator had no ill intentions besides fishing, as both Brown and the grizzly bear shared the river.
