Severe weather possible in the Northeast Saturday

Damaging wind and the possibility of a tornado are the main threats for the region.

There is a risk for severe thunderstorms in the Northeast on Saturday. 

The National Weather Service issued a Slight risk (two out of five) for the possibility of severe storms. 

Storms will form Saturday afternoon across portions of Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. These storms could become severe. 

Damaging wind and flash flooding are the main threats with these severe storms. An isolated tornado also cannot be ruled out.

Severe storms are possible along and west of the I-95 corridor, including New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.
