Tropical Storm Marie to produce dangerous surf across Southern California for several days

Tropical Storm Marie is hundreds of miles southwest of San Diego, but is still expected to produce several days of life-threatening surf after moisture associated with Marie brought heavy rain to the region over the weekend. Los Angeles picked up its first measurable rain since April on Sunday. The 0.6 inches that fell also made Sunday the city’s wettest September day since 2015.
