Severe storms to dampen Labor Day plans across Northern Tier
Another round of severe storms is expected to erupt on Labor Day across parts of the Northern and Central Plains as a clash between warm, unstable air and a slow-moving weather system unfolds through the day. Rain will blanket Montana through the morning before stronger storms are expected to develop late afternoon over the Dakotas and Nebraska. Large hail, damaging wind gusts and even a tornado or two will be possible if supercell thunderstorms form.
