Brewing cross-country storm fueled by El Niño set to slam California, Southwest
California and the Southwest are set to get slammed by another powerful storm, with rain forecast ahead of and over Halloween weekend. The system could bring snow to parts of the Intermountain West before moving into the Plains for Election Day as El Niño helps steer the Pacific jet stream over the Southern Tier of the country.
