Super Typhoon Bavi heads toward Taiwan and China after slamming Guam
Super Typhoon Bavi blasted through Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands on Monday, as the storm packed 180 mph winds. By Friday, the storm is forecast to skate past the northern portions of Taiwan, weakening to the equivalent of a Category 2 hurricane, with sustained winds peaking over 100 mph before making landfall Saturday on the China mainland.
