Flood threat for Texas and the South increases through holiday weekend
Rounds of rain will soak different areas across Texas and the South through the Memorial Day, as the flood threat increases through the weekend. NOAA's Weather Prediction Center (WPC) has issued a Level 2 out of 4 risk of flash flooding across West and Central Texas, including San Antonio on Wednesday. Meanwhile, severe storms are expected to fire Wednesday afternoon over West Texas. Parts of the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coasts, as well as northern Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas could see a widespread 3-5 inches of rain by next Tuesday.
