A powerful winter storm has pummeled much of the U.S. this week, coating roads in ice and snow.
The storm spanned nearly 3,000 miles across the country – from Texas to New England -- when it peaked on Wednesday and Thursday.
One of the worst impacts from the storm has been an ice storm across parts of the Midwest, mid-South and Ohio Valley.
