Three gas tanks exploded in Glenpool, Oklahoma, after lightning struck a pipeline facility. Officials said three tanks containing natural gasoline were involved in the fire. No injuries have been reported at this time.
GLENPOOL, Oklahoma - Three gas tanks exploded in Glenpool, Oklahoma, on Monday, after lightning struck a tank at a pipeline facility.

Around 8:30 a.m., emergency personnel, including the Glenpool Police Department and local fire crews, responded to the facility following reports of an explosion.
Evacuations for surrounding businesses and residents were immediately ordered, while a shelter-in-place order went into effect for nearby schools.

"Fire crews remain on scene working to mitigate the fire and prevent further spread," the Glenpool Police Department said in a Facebook post.
Video captured by a local resident from a Walmart parking lot showed plumes of dark smoke rising into the sky before flames erupted from the facility. Debris can also be seen flying through the air following the explosion.

According to a social media post from Explorer Pipeline, the three tanks involved in the fire contained natural gasoline, a liquid fuel used in the production of gasoline and other products.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
