Tornado Watch issued for portions of Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia on Wednesday

The National Weather Service issued the watch for portions of eastern Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and northern West Virginia until 10 p.m. EDT.

A tornado watch was issued Wednesday afternoon for portions of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. 

The National Weather Service issued the watch for eastern Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and northern West Virginia until 10 p.m. EDT. 

As the cold front moves through Ohio, thunderstorms are expected to intensify, and some could turn severe.  

Damaging winds will be the main threat for these severe storms, but tornadoes are also possible. Wind gusts could reach up to 70 mph at times.
