The Daytona 500 will be held Sunday afternoon

More than 100,000 racing fans will pack into the Daytona International Speedway on Sunday afternoon for this year’s Daytona 500. And when the green flag is waved, 40 cars will take off on a 200-lap journey to vie for the coveted Harley J. Earl trophy.

And while the forecast for Daytona Beach calls for partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-70s, many cities across the U.S. won't be as fortunate with the warm weather.

Here's the forecast for towns with race-themed names across the country.

Hudson, Massachusetts

It will be partly cloudy on Sunday with temperatures around 37 degrees.

Lumina, North Carolina

There will be plenty of sunshine on race day with temperatures around 49 degrees.

Chevrolet, Kentucky

It will be a bit warmer in Chevrolet with temperatures around 52 degrees at the start of the race.

Pontiac, Michigan

It will be around 41 degrees on Sunday with mostly sunny skies.

Regal, Minnesota

It will be partly cloudy on Sunday with temperatures around 36 degrees.

Buick, Missouri

It will be sunny on race day with temperatures around 59 degrees.

Dodge, Texas

It will be mostly cloudy with temperatures around 68 degrees.

Thunderbird New Mexico

It will be mostly sunny with temperatures around 57 degrees.

Ford, Montana

It will be around 40 degrees on Sunday with snow.

Monte Carlo, Washington

There will be some mixed precipitation in Monte Carlo. Expect temperatures around 44 degrees.
