THE TAKEAWAY

- Showers, gusty winds, higher surf and coastal flooding could impact areas from Florida to the Carolinas.
The potential for a coastal storm to develop along the East Coast early next week is growing, with numerous forecast models hinting at an area of low pressure forming off the Southeast coast.
According to the FOX Forecast Center, a fall cold front will push off the East Coast this weekend before slowing and stalling near the Southeast coastline.
HOW HIGH PRESSURE AND LOW PRESSURE DRIVE THE WEATHER
As the front stalls, a broad area of circulation could develop, potentially leading to the formation of a low-pressure system by Monday or Tuesday.
The location and intensity of the system remain highly uncertain.
The FOX Forecast Center said that Americans along the coastline from Florida to the Carolinas should continue to monitor the forecast.
