Severe weather threat rises for central Plains on Sunday

The Storm Prediction Center has increased the severe weather threat for portions of the central Plains on Sunday and placed portions of southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma in a Level 3 out of 5 risk on its 5-point severe thunderstorm risk scale due to thunderstorms that will be capable of producing large hail, damaging wind gusts and possible tornadoes.
