Invest 99L designated off Southeast coast

Forecasters will be keeping their eyes on Invest 99L to see if it develops into something tropical. However, regardless of whether this storm system gets named, impacts will be widely felt up and down the East Coast from Florida to Maine. Invest is a naming convention used by the NHC to identify areas meteorologists are investigating for development into a tropical depression or storm in the next 5 days.
