Disruptive ice storm expected to be stronger, icier on Tuesday across Texas, parts of South
The second, more impactful wave will begin Tuesday morning. Sufficient lift from a passing jet streak will allow for a large area of precipitation to once again break out in West Texas. Continued cold air advection in wake of the arctic blast will allow the freezing line to inch a bit further south, well past the I-20 corridor.
