Infrared helps advance technology for ice rescues
Denver is getting a temperature rollercoaster. The metro area felt temperatures ranging from the high 60s to below freezing in a single week. This is concerning for lakes and ponds because they look frozen solid but are very unstable. It can be a matter of seconds on the ice before you plunge into the waters. Luckily, the Denver Fire Department performs regular ice training. Now, they're amping it up with infrared technology. Joining FOX Weather to give more insight is Captain John Chism.
