Tornado leaves 'catastrophic' damage in Gaylord, Michigan
A damage survey team from the National Weather Service will be out Saturday to determine how strong the tornado was that tore the northern Michigan town of Gaylord that took a direct hit. A NWS employee spotted the tornado coming through his neighborhood Friday afternoon He relayed it to his colleagues, giving the NWS real-time confirmation of the twister. At least one person was killed and more than 40 were injured.
