Hurricane hunting evolves with new technology
It's hard to believe, but we're less than two months away from the start of the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season. It begins on June 1, and Colorado State researchers are predicting it'll be more active than usual. Historically, the deadliest hazard in a hurricane has been the storm surge where the ocean water is pushed ashore by the strong onshore winds. FOX Weather Hurricane Specialist Bryan Norcross spoke with National Hurricane Center Deputy Director Jamie Rhome about the progress that's been made in forecasting surge.
