Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes produce large hail, damaging winds in the Central US

Multiple tornadoes ripped across three states, including northeastern Kansas, southeastern Nebraska and southern Iowa, as severe thunderstorms struck the region. In addition to tornado reports, damaging wind gusts of up to 90 mph and large hail battered parts of the Plains and Great Lakes. More storms are expected throughout the night.
