Hurricane Isaias rapidly intensifies, Gulf Coast residents urged to complete preps today
Isaias has undergone rapid intensification and is now a Category 1 hurricane set to make landfall along the northern Gulf Coast sometime late Friday into early Saturday. Residents are being urged to complete their preparations today. Isaias became the first Atlantic hurricane of the season late Wednesday and is the first hurricane expected to make landfall in the Lower 48 since Hurricane Milton in 2024.
