Dangerous fire weather threat remains after Tuesday's wildfire outbreak
Dangerous fire weather conditions will again be in place today thanks to a strengthening low developing over Colorado. To the south, exceptionally dry and wind conditions can be expected across southern Colorado, including Pueblo, Kansas, Oklahoma, the Texas Panhandle and eastern New Mexico. Critical fire weather conditions now exist across portions of the Midwest, specifically Iowa and Nebraska. A cold front later in the week should bring cooler temperatures and some precipitation, offering gradual improvement.
