Hurricane Center eyes two disturbances that could become the Atlantic's next tropical system
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring two areas for potential tropical development in the Atlantic amid a quiet start to the hurricane season impeded by a strengthening El Niño climate pattern as well as plumes of dust from North Africa's Saharan Desert. A strong tropical wave that has moved off the coast of Africa and an area of low pressure well east of Bermuda that has been tagged as Invest 95L both have medium odds of tropical development.
