Lull in tropical activity for Labor Day weekend as National Hurricane Center eyes area to watch
Labor Day has historically been one of the most active parts of hurricane season, fortunately the tropics in the Atlantic are taking a break in time for the holiday weekend. The National Hurricane Center is monitoring an area to watch for possible tropical development off the coast of Africa sometime after Labor Day. FOX Weather Hurricane Specialist Bryan Norcross said the tropics will be more conducive for development around mid-September. "The tropical pattern looks to reorient itself to something more typical of September."
