Flash flooding, large hail and damaging winds target more than 30 million people in the Plains

Severe weather is targeting the Central and Northern Plains, bringing damaging winds, large hail, flash flooding, and the potential for tornadoes. A Level 2 of 5 severe storm risk is currently in place across portions of the Central Plains, stretching from Kearney, Nebraska, into southwestern Wisconsin. This threat level could be upgraded later.
