Record warmth expected for eastern US across holiday weekend followed by rapid cooldown

Much of the eastern U.S. will be riding a temperature roller coaster through the holiday weekend, with millions reaching the mid-80s across parts of the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, before a cold front plunges temperatures back into the 40s Monday.
