Leftover moisture from former Tropical Storm Rachel is moving east along a stalled cold front, bringing widespread rain to the Northeast. Some areas could also see severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and an isolated tornado or two. A Level 1 out of 5 severe storm threat has been issued for parts of New York.
