Florida faces days of rain, escalating flood threat

Florida is locked into an extended stretch of wet weather as a slow-moving cold front stalls over the state. Some areas could see up to 5 more inches of rain by Thursday. Meanwhile, a coastal storm has developed just off the northeastern Florida coast, which could produce coastal flooding, large waves, beach erosion, life-threatening rip currents and additional rainfall.
