NOAA predicts below-average 2026 Atlantic hurricane season as super El Niño looms

NOAA has released their forecast for the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season. The agency is forecasting a total of 8-14 named storms. Of those, 3-6 are forecast to become hurricanes, including 1-3 major hurricanes.
