Elevated fire weather concerns for parts of Northeast as one of the largest wildfires in New Jersey's history still smolders
A dry and breezy day will develop across southern New York, the entire state of New Jersey and portions of eastern Pennsylvania by midday Tuesday. Fuels are still very dry even after some areas rain this past Saturday and winds will be able to carry any fires that spark. The Jones Road Fire which sparked last week and is one of the largest in New Jersey state history was 75% contained as of Tuesday morning.
