A mixture of rising record heat, humidity and an approaching cold front is increasing chances of severe weather across the Northeast through the end of the work week. Threats of damaging winds, large hail and possible tornadoes loom for major cities along the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic, with the greatest risks to come Friday, placing over 50 million in the threat zone.
