Parts of the California coastline are no longer under a Tsunami Advisory. NOAA experts say there is no longer a threat of flooding created from waves for the northern part of the state. Areas of California saw a sea level rise of around 4 feet earlier in the day because of a tsunami created by a volcanic eruption near Tonga in the southwestern Pacific.

The tsunami advisory for the Washington and Oregon coasts has been canceled. Experts believe there is no ongoing threat from tsunami waves. The California coastline remains under Tsunami Advisory, where sea level rises of one to three feet remain possible.

Sea level rises of mostly between one and three feet were reported along the West Coast. The tsunami did not lead to inundations of cities and was just experienced along coastal areas.

The Tsunami Advisory for parts of southeast Alaska has been canceled. Officials no longer believe there is a potential for dangerous inundations of water. They do warn that unusual currents and wave activity could continue for several hours.

The Washington Emergency Management Division said residents should expect hours of waves as high as 3 feet. It will also coincide with high tide to create dangerous coastal conditions and flooding.
Conditions could be worse than previously reported, the agency said.
