Severe storms bring tornado threat to Ohio Valley, Northeast

A Tornado Warning has been issued in southern Pennsylvania.

A Tornado Warning has been issued for areas outside of Richmond, Virginia, along Interstate 64.

A Tornado Warning has been issued in central Virginia.

Storms have caused flooding in South Carolina that is impacting the city of Columbia.

A Tornado Warning has been issued for areas north and west of Richmond, VA.

Meteorologists are tracking a storm capable of producing a tornado in Madison and Orange counties in Virginia.

Storms are producing hail across the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic. Video shows hail falling in Northern Virginia as the storms moved through.

A Tornado Warning has been issued for Elk County in central Pennsylvania until 5:45 p.m.

The FOX Weather 3D Radar is tracking severe storms moving through the Charlotte metro. Several counties in both South Carolina and North Carolina are under Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for the threat of damaging winds and large hail.

A Tornado Warning has been issued for Guernsey County in Ohio for a storm capable of producing a tornado.

Severe storms capable of large hail and gusty winds are moving into Syracuse, NY.

Much of New York is under a Tornado Watch through 11 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until midnight includes the DC-metro area and parts of Maryland, including Baltimore.

Washington is included in the newest Severe Thunderstorm Watch that has been issued by the Storm Prediction Center. The watch, which is in effect until midnight Eastern, also covers portions of Maryland, northern Virginia and far eastern West Virginia.

Severe Thunderstorm Watches remain in effect for parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania, the Carolinas and Georgia.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect for much of Pennsylvania and New York state.

A severe thunderstorm will bring the threat of 2-inch hail to areas of Mercer, Knox and Stoneboro, according the NWS.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch for parts of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.

A new Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for northeast Georgia, western and central North Carolina, western and central South Carolina and southern Virginia. The watch runs until 9 p.m. ET.

The primary threat will include damaging winds up to 60 mph, and up to 1 inch hail.

Consecutive days with "likely" threat or higher.

Today marks the 52nd day with a "likely" threat or higher of severe weather.

Thunderstorms will be capable of large in the Northeast. Some storms have already had tops that were more than 40,000 feet tall and capable of producing large hail in Pennsylvania.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Ohio and Pennsylvania until 9 p.m.

Parts of Ohio are still recovering from Monday's derecho, which knocked out power to more than 400,000 homes and businesses.

The same area is now under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9 .m. ET. The Watch also includes Pittsburgh.

Active Tornado Watch until 11 p.m. ET

Forecasters with the NWS Storm Prediction Center have issued a Tornado Watch for parts of New York, Pennsylvania, Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.
