Real-life ‘White Walker’ treks across frozen lake in Toronto
Bitterly cold temperatures have frozen parts of Lake Ontario
TORONTO – It’s reminiscent of a scene from "Game of Thrones" – a person dressed in dark clothes, walking across a frozen landscape.
Instagram user "toronoto_papi_" shared a video Sunday of his wife venturing onto a frozen Lake Ontario with the Toronto skyline in the background.
"White Walker at Centre Island," the caption read.

Environment Canada reported temperatures were near 0 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday morning in Toronto, with highs only climbing into the low 20s that afternoon.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reported Thursday that Lake Ontario has an ice concentration of about 17%, the smallest concentration of all the Great Lakes.
Temperatures in Toronto are forecast to remain below freezing for much of the week.
