Strawberry Moon to dazzle the night sky starting tonight as first full moon of the summer

The first full moon of the summer, the Strawberry Moon, is here, offering a wondrous view for millions to gaze upon starting Monday night and lasting about three days.
Stargazers have the chance to kick off the season by witnessing the second celestial event in the same month following the summer solstice, and now the Strawberry Moon.

According to Space.com, the moon will officially reach its full phase by 7:57 p.m. EDT and will be the lowest-hanging full moon of the year.

This occurs when the moon is opposite the Earth from the sun, its full appearance will appear very illuminated and will extend for about a day after the event.
The name Strawberry Moon comes from the time of year in which berries ripen.

Despite this, the name doesn't imply the moon is red, even though it appears reddish when it rises or sets, according to NASA.
