The 14th flight of the SpaceX Starship successfully launched and landed in the Pacific Ocean after delivering the first-ever 26 V3 Starlink satellites.
After a landmark 14th flight, SpaceX’s Starship — a rocket the company calls the "Holy Grail" of rocketry — is already looking toward its next test launch, which could be its most ambitious yet.
The 14th flight of the SpaceX Starship reached Earth's orbit Monday, deployed 26 Starlink satellites and ended several hours later with a fiery splashdown in the Pacific Ocean.

The company’s 15th Starship flight could mark an even bigger step.
SpaceX is expected to fly two newer vehicles, with the mission aimed at advancing the rocket’s path toward rapid reusability.

The flight could also feature SpaceX’s first attempt to catch the Starship spacecraft with the giant "chopstick" arms on the launch tower.

The company has successfully "caught" Super Heavy boosters before, but has never recovered the Starship upper stage this way.
A successful catch would be a major leap toward SpaceX’s goal of launching, landing and rapidly flying the same vehicles again.
SpaceX successfully launched Starship’s fifth test flight on Oct. 13, 2024. For the first time, the demonstration mission included an attempt to maneuver the 232-foot-tall (71-meter) rocket’s booster toward a massive landing structure at the Starbase facility near Boca Chica Beach, Texas. The test also carries significance beyond SpaceX’s commercial ambitions: NASA is developing a modified version of Starship as the Human Landing System that would ferry Artemis astronauts from lunar orbit to the moon’s surface and back.
