LOS ANGELES – With the Western heat wave winding down, Los Angeles is seeing a return to cooler weather that could persist through the end of June.
The Southern California city regarded as the entertainment capital of the world that attracts the attention of the biggest stars Earth has to offer isn't experiencing the extreme heat others in the West are grappling with.
While areas further inland like Fresno are facing temperatures in the high 90s, Los Angeles gets what FOX Weather Meteorologist Jane Minar called, "some reprieve" as temperatures fall in the City of Angels.

Los Angeles is experiencing cooler-than-average weather for late June, particularly along the coast, where persistent onshore flow is drawing cool marine air off the Pacific Ocean inland, the National Weather Service said.
The resulting low clouds and fog, commonly known as June Gloom, have kept daytime temperatures below the heat typically associated with Southern California summers.
