OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK – Tragic news has struck the community of Olympic National Park after officials recovered the body of a missing hiker, concluding a two-week search effort.
On Sunday evening, search and rescue teams stumbled upon the body of Neil Gehrig from the northwest slope of Mt. Appleton, after he was hiking within the national park.

Officials were able to locate his body after receiving and analyzing additional cell phone location data.
