Hurricane Milton rapidly strengthens taking aim at Florida's Gulf Coast
Milton has sustained winds of 80 mph becoming reaching hurricane strength on Sunday, about 24 hours after becoming a tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico. The National Hurricane Center is forecasting Milton to continue to strengthen before a landfall along Florida's West Coast by midweek. Hurricane and storm surge watches will likely be issued for Florida later on Sunday.
