Deadly Typhoon Yagi makes landfall in China's Hainan province
Typhoon Yagi, the most powerful storm to hit Asia this year, made landfall on the coast of China's Hainan province on Friday. The storm brought devastating gales and heavy rainfall, forcing schools to close for a second day and canceling flights in the South China Sea region. Chinese state broadcaster CCTV captured the storm's fury in a video showing the chaotic conditions in Wenchang city as Yagi made landfall at 4:20 p.m. local time.
