“Excessive” rain caused flash flooding in parts of Nebraska early Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The NWS said up to 7 inches of rain had fallen in most of the flood-warned areas as of 11:26 am Tuesday, though some locations received more than 8 inches. Footage shows a flooded road in Omaha, where a trash can appears to have been caught up in water swirling down a drain.
