Atlantic hurricane season begins in 68 days

The 2024 Atlantic hurricane season is only 68 days away. As we await the season's official start, the FOX Forecast Center is keeping an eye on an area of low pressure off the U.S. East Coast. Computer forecast models suggest there is a small, but non-zero chance that the system may briefly become subtropical as it meanders in the open Atlantic Ocean. The system, regardless of any sort of development, is safely away from land and will have no impacts outside of some rough seas and surf for Bermuda.
