Daytona 500 prepares for race ahead of rain
The 66th annual Daytona 500 will not be dominated by sunshine as a slow-moving frontal boundary this weekend threatens to delay Sunday's "Super Bowl of NASCAR." The FOX Forecast Center expects 1-3 inches of rain to fall over Central Florida during race weekend. Forty-two drivers will attempt to qualify for the race. Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., won the Daytona 500 in 2023 during what was an upset.
