Arctic air will remain absent from the U.S. for the next two weeks as a ridge of high pressure parks itself over southern Canada and the jet stream floods the nation with mild air from the Pacific Ocean. Temperatures will be 10-25 degrees above average in the Plains and Midwest, translating to highs in the 50s and 60s.
