Potential widespread severe weather outbreak looms for Central US
Widespread severe storms are likely Friday as a powerful storm moves through the country. Storms will be focused mostly on two areas, a northern aspect and a southern aspect. The northern aspect will be more of a conditional threat, with a focus on hail and damaging winds as lower amounts of moisture may limit the overall threat. The Southern aspect of the storm will be a typical spring severe risk, with supercells possible capable of golf ball-size hail, 60+ mph wind gusts, and tornadoes.
