Cross-country storm closes in on South, severe weather likely Thursday

The potential for strong storms and flash flooding in parts of the southern U.S. as a cross-country system moves east. The highest likelihood for severe weather will be along the I-35 corridor. Primary hazards with storms include tornadoes, strong winds and large hail. Snow departs the Rockies and will blanket the Plains, Upper Midwest and Great Lakes.
