Swath of heavy snow to hit Midwest and Northeast

Snow will begin Thursday night in the Central Plains before intensifying in the Midwest Friday. The winter weather will reach the Great Lakes and interior Northeast Friday into Saturday. Parts of northern New England may see feet of snow.
